“Emotional pain cannot kill you, but running from it can. Allow. Embrace. Let yourself feel. Let yourself heal.” ~Vironika Tugaleva
Sometimes when I am despairing and exhausted and feel I can’t go on I remind myself:
My pain and grief has meaning.
It can serve a purpose.
It could serve me.
And it can also serve others.
When we allow ourselves to fully experience painful feelings we are doing work.
Every tear we shed. Every nightmare we have to process. All the triggers and flashbacks… they are inches us closer to our goal. But only if we don’t fight it. Only if we embrace the unknown and go through that dark passage … and then attempt to shed light after the fact.
Nothing in your pain is meaningless. It is all preparing. Working something. Producing something — a weight of glory, a special glory for you. Just for you because of that pain.
