We often think of our suffering as senseless, random, or worse — as evidence that God has forgotten us. But this is not so. You are not the lead in a meaningless tragedy. You are a vital character in a far grander Story.
C.S. Lewis once said, “We are not necessarily doubting that God will do the best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be.” He understood that pain is not the end of the story — but a chapter in the making of saints.
God is a master Author. He weaves beauty from brokenness, forging our character in the fires of hardship. The wounds you carry are not wasted. They shape the warrior, refine the beloved, and prepare you for a glory you cannot yet see.
Take heart. You are being written into something eternal.
