Why do we stay so selfish and miss the calling to stand up for children. If you are so dull and unmoved as to not see what is happening to the millions of children who are being abused, let me tell you the statitics.
One in six males are sexually assaulted before their 18th birthday. There are 42 million survivors of sexual abuse in the United States. Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. And every 9 minutes, that victim is a child. Only about 20% of children who are abused ever disclose. Only 25 out of every 1,000 perpetrators will end up in prison.
How do we reconcile turning our eyes away from this dissaster?
We need to lift up our hands to Father God for the lives of his children.
Stop what you are doing right now and offer up a prayer of protection over the child living in home filled with incest, destruction, emtoional and physical pain.
Pray for the little boy that goes to his neighbor and believes there is friendship there only to be betrayed and victimized.
Pray for the little girl that misses school because her stomach aches with the delusions of sexual abuse.
I beg of this nation to take action on behalf of the children.
How do you not see? Why will you not help?
I speak for the voices that cannot speak for themselves.
Father, release your angels of protection and deliverance and help these children find safety.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Help me, help them.
