I carry in my heart the scars of my yesteryears. I cannot simply remove them. That’s not how this life works. While God has redeemed so much of the past, I carry the burden of the years I’ve lived. We all do.
Healing and restoration does not mean that the experience leaves our minds, our souls or our hearts. That is not possible.
The goal of my life journey is to take those experiences and use them for good. It is my remaining hope. It is the glory in my future. I will not surrender to the echos of the past but will strive forward all the days of my life.
Perfection a thing of the past, my focus is now life and love and liberty.
Don’t fear when you feel your scar tissue. Scars are the evidence of a life lived. No one escapes without them.
Press into all of yourself. That is where peace lives.
