Fear Not Friday | Do You Fear No One Sees You?

On the question of fear, ask yourself: I am seen by others? Does anyone care about my pain?

I am known and seen by God. Isaiah 43 tells me,

“Don’t be afraid. I saved you. I named you. You are mine. When you have troubles, I am with you. When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not hurt you.

Coming through my childhood, these words would have meant nothing to me. I was in troubles. The fire was burning me. How do I now trust the words of a God who seeks after me?

I have that answer. It’s easy for me now. When I was a very small child, God appeared to me. I felt him. I heard him. I understood. I have learned that He could not rescue me at that moment in his good benevolence because my parents had rights to me that they were exercising. So, he waited until he could.

And, then, he waited some more.

When I turned 18 and left my parents’ home, I could now decide what to choose, right? Well, not really. I was still imprisoned to the believes that I had to just follow. Please people not God. I was stranded somewhere on the shores of unbelief. I really believed in nothing.

In his great love, he knew exactly how to find me. How to show me he knew me inside and out, intimately. With all my unbelief, my anger, my pain and disappointment, I began walking closer to him. So I could hear his whipsers over the voices of darkness and pain.

So, I leave you with this question: “Do you believe you are fully seen by God?
