Moments of reflection — what better way to start a week.
I just had a full hip replacement. The doctor tells me to put as much weight on that leg as I can in order to heal. Applying pressure to that leg is painful. Very painful. The only way to heal now is through the pain.
Going to therapy year after year was the same. If I had walked away from the pressure and the pain it took to heal, I would have remained the same. Walking with a metaphorical limp — not knowing how to love, crying myself to sleep — slumped against a shower wall crying out to God to intervene.
Oh I remember those days. Not fondly but because my pain was so raw.
I’ve learned I must struggle through until I reach the other side. There is no other way.
“My grace is sufficient.”

Don’t stay stuck!! The struggle is worth it.
