UCU | I Married a Sociopath (Part II)

Moments of reflection — what better way to start a week.

What is it like living with a sociopath? Horrible!

After I married, I had a dream about my father. It turned out to be a prophetic dream. In the dream, a man crawled into my father’s downstair window. I don’t know what happened in the house but when my father came out of the house he walked with a cane because he had a limp. The dream ended.

About six months later, my father ended up in the hospital fighting for his life. When he came out of the hospital, he walked with a limp.

Jeremiah 9 says this, “Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has removed the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares.”

Death indeed climbs through sociopaths’ windows. Everyone in the family pays.

If you find yourself following the path of these people, get off the road they are on. Remove yourself as fast as you can. I didn’t. I stayed. The cost was deeper than I could have ever imagined. My children paid a deep price for my choice.

Eventually I did leave and I never looked back. Please leave these terrible people. God does not want you with them.

I’ll continue next week.

This week’s reflection should be: Father God am I seeing my current situation with eyes of truth?
