Come into my home with me today, join me in my prayer life, and my daily reading. Welcome!
A Jewel: Have you ever been misunderstood? I was reading today in I Samual. It starts with the story of Hannah. She was married to a man that had two wives. She, unfortunately, could not conceive.
At least once a year the family would go to the Lord’s temple to sacrafice and worship.
While Hannah’s husband understood her pain, the Lord’s priest, Eli, judged her harshly.
In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. 11 And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.”
12 As she kept on praying to the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. 13 Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk 14 and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.”
15 “Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled.
Have you ever had your lips moving but your voice not heard?
A Gem: When we are deeply troubled our pain, grief and agony can mask itself and make us appear cold, angry and distant. I pray for you today that you will know that you are seen by a God who understands and can hear your heart’s desires, He knows your troubles, and is waiting for you to turn to Him.
Metaphorical Gunpowder: God blessed Hannah’s request, opened her womb and gave her a son. “She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.” Samuel’s name means “God has heard.”
Ask yourself, “What am I believing about God and his ability to hear me?

Remember to send your arrows of protection towards any doubt that God is not listening.
Please comment below by leaving your jewel, a gem or something you keep yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder.
All love!
