Jewels, Gems & Gunpowder

I would love to hear from you! Sharing Saturday with you.

A Jewel: When I was about 24 years old, I was lead to this scripture and it had an everlasting impact on me:

“But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.

“Whoever sheds human blood,
    by humans shall their blood be shed;
for in the image of God
    has God made mankind.

Genesis 9: 4-6

God used this scripture to bring me back time and time again to my childhood experience. I had witnessed a murder and He knew it. He knew I had to go back and heal that terrible act I’d witnessed. This scripture changed the course of my life.

A Gem: Faith is truly all I have ever needed to survive the brutal attacks I received in childhood. Period.

Metaphorical Gunpowder: Does your faith cause you to move into service? Does your faith provide enough to you that automatically flows over onto those around you? If you have a faith that doesn’t move mountains — I get it. But, if you have a faith that only believes that God exists, well – the demons have that same faith.

James 2:19 says, “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that — and shudder.”

Make sure your faith is different than the faith of demons.

Please comment below by leaving your jewel, a gem or something you keep yourself free from with metaphorical gunpowder.

All love!
