The Storm

Yet, the question lingers: What will you choose? It’s simpler to resume activities paused by rough weather once it has passed. But what about those you’ve suspended when the weather is still unfavorable? Will you resume them? Will you learn to embrace the challenges? Will you relish the opportunity to prove your mettle despite the conditions? At least for some of them?

If you opt to wait for the storm to clear, what might you miss? Could there be opportunities slipping away? Are there people you won’t meet because you’re not out there? Waiting comes with costs, just as there are costs to dancing in the rain.

Life often presents us with challenges. At times, it seems we face more storms than fair weather, more hardships than lucky breaks.

It’s about fostering innovation and seeking out the opportunities that are bound to arise. It’s about discovering ways to create value from nothing or from what appears to be a challenging situation—finding meaning and worth in the face of adversity, disappointment, and uncertainty. It’s about being open to vulnerability and welcoming difficulty rather than avoiding or evading it.

To face the day with courage even when we’re afraid.

I hope you decide to dance in the rain.
